Regional Economic Growth Plans
RDA NT draws its regional priorities from the Northern Territory Regional Economic Growth Committee’s Regional Economic Growth Plans.
Regional Economic Growth Committees will lead the development of Regional Economic Growth Plans. The Growth Plans will:
Identify regional priorities for economic growth and the implementation pathways and actions required to deliver them
support government decision making and private sector investment decisions
define the region’s connection and contribution to the Territory’s overall growth strategy and the regional implementation of identified priorities
set goals and actions that allow a region to prioritise what is most important and how they can be implemented to locally agreed timelines and delivery methods.
East Arnhem Regional Economic Growth Plan
This East Arnhem Regional Economic Growth Plan was developed by the REGC and aims to capture the collective vision of the East Arnhem community with regard to economic development and growth for the next 10 years. The plan set of targets for economic growth and makes a range of recommendations for future action to assist in achievement of these objectives.
Territory Regional Growth Barkly Economic Growth and Workforce Development
The Barkly Regional Economic Growth and Workforce Development plans combine the vision, purpose and values of the Regional Economic Growth and Workforce Development Partnership Group. This group functions as the Barkly Region’s Economic Growth Committee and is representative of the three tiers of government, leading Aboriginal Corporations and private Industry developers. The Barkly Economic Growth Strategy 2030 and Barkly Regional Workforce Strategy 2030 were released in 2023.
This Big Rivers Regional Economic Growth Plan is the region’s master for growth that articulates cross-government priority actions that address key economic challenges and opportunities. It promotes a collaborative vision for growth that is aligned to the Territory’s overall growth strategy to support government decision making and private sector investment decisions.
The Summer in Central Australia 2023-24 Action Plan was a collaboration between the NT Government, Alice Springs Town Council, MacDonnell Regional Council, Central Desert Regional Council and the National Indigenous Australians Agency. The plan focused on keeping our community safe through preventative safety measures and community engagement, and providing a range of fun, engaging activities across Central Australia for young people and families.
The Top End Region Economic Growth Plan provides a guiding framework that will foster economic opportunity and enhance the liveability of our communities by focusing on growth sectors that provide the greatest opportunity for sustainable economic growth.
