Angela Sammon is an Indigenous entrepreneur and community leader from the Barkly region, bringing strong on-the-ground experience and a deep commitment to creating sustainable opportunities across remote Northern Territory communities.
She co-leads Sammon’s Contracting Pty Ltd with her husband David, delivering rural contracting services, labour hire, and on-country programs that support local employment and youth pathways. Together, they also manage Banka Banka Station and Tourist Park, contributing to economic participation through tourism and regional enterprise.
Angela is a co-founder of Mona Aboriginal Corporation, an organisation dedicated to empowering young people and strengthening futures through culturally grounded initiatives.
She represents the Indigenous business seat on the Barkly Regional Deal and is a member of the Barkly Regional Alliance Committee. Angela also serves on the Regional Development Australia Northern Territory Committee representing the Barkly and supports the Elliott Local Authority for Barkly Shire Council.
Through her leadership, Angela focuses on building strong partnerships, delivering community-led programs, and creating meaningful outcomes that reflect culture, country and long-term regional resilience.
