Deirdre O’Sullivan to Depart RDA NT for New Role with Aboriginal Investment NT

After a year of dedicated service, our CEO, Deirdre O’Sullivan, has announced her resignation from RDA NT, as she prepares to take on an exciting new role as Chief Operating Officer with Aboriginal Investment NT in December.

Since joining RDA NT in January, Deirdre has been instrumental in strengthening relationships and building collaboration with communities, local councils, and stakeholders across the Northern Territory. Her leadership has elevated awareness of RDA NT’s role and impact, helping shape our approach to regional growth and sustainable development.

Deirdre’s focus has been on advancing initiatives that address core regional needs, particularly in infrastructure and livability. By working closely with councils and community partners, she has laid a foundation for equitable access to resources, supporting local projects that drive economic growth and strengthen regional vitality.

Drew Wagner, Chair of RDA NT, said:

“Though her time with the organisation was brief, Deirdre’s impact will be long lasting. She charted a new direction for the organisation, and will be remembered fondly by all of us at RDA NT. We wish her every success in her new role with Aboriginal Investment NT.”

Margot Livsey will take on the role of Acting CEO to ensure continuity, with recruitment for a new CEO set to begin in early 2025. We extend our deepest gratitude to Deirdre for her service and leadership and look forward to seeing the positive contributions she will bring to Aboriginal Investment NT.
