Northern Western Australia and Northern Territory Drought Resilience Adoption and Innovation Hub

Drought resilience innovation NT

The Northern Hub is a collaborative initiative aimed at enhancing drought resilience and sustainable prosperity of rural industries and communities across the region. It is one of eight national Drought Resilience Adoption and Innovation Hubs established as part of the Future Drought Fund. The Hub focuses on pastoral, broadacre, horticulture, forestry systems, Indigenous enterprises, and water management, aiming to transform the drought resilience of farmers, traditional owners, and communities in the Northern Territory and Northern WA. It operates as a network to connect research expertise with on-ground knowledge, respond to end-user demands for new technologies and practices, and overcome barriers to adoption and innovation.

Regional Development Australia Northern Territory (RDA NT) played a key role in the establishment of the Hub, contributing significantly during the establishment phase and continuing to support the project.

RDA NT’s involvement underscores its commitment to facilitating economic growth and infrastructure investment across the Northern Territory.
