Updated Guidelines Released for regional Precincts and Partnerships Program

The Regional Precincts and Partnerships Program (rPPP) has released updated guidelines, providing regional communities with greater clarity and flexibility to develop precincts that drive economic growth, create jobs, and enhance liveability.

Administered by the Australian Government, the rPPP supports the delivery of transformative regional projects, encouraging collaboration between industry, government, and community stakeholders to strengthen local economies and enhance infrastructure.

Key Updates to the Program

The latest changes to the rPPP guidelines include:

  • Changes to reflect delivery of the program through the Federation Funding Agreement Framework
  • Clarifying the definition of a precinct
  • Extending the program period to 30 June 2027
  • other minor administrative changes.

Implications for Existing Applicants

Organisations with applications currently in the Submitted or Pending Assessment stages should review their submissions to determine whether updates are required under the revised guidelines. Applicants may choose to:

  • Retain their existing application for assessment under the new guidelines
  • Submit a new application to align with the updated guidelines
  • Withdraw their application if it is no longer relevant.

For more details, the updated guidelines and eligibility criteria are available on the Regional Precincts and Partnerships Program webpage.
