Justin O’Brien served as the CEO of Gundjeihmi Aboriginal Corporation for 15 years, representing the Mirarr People, traditional owners of the Ranger uranium mine, Jabiru and Jabiluka. He remains actively involved with the Mirarr by serving as a Director on the boards of Kakadu West Arnhem Social Trust, Mirarr Limited, Jabiru Property Services, and Jabiru Service Station Pty Ltd.
Justin is the Owner and Director of Upstream Consulting Pty Ltd, established in July 2017. His consultancy specialises in policy development, lobbying, governance training, and communications services, with expertise in Northern Australia, Indigenous communities, and the non-profit sector. He brings over 30 years of experience in media, marketing, communications, political strategy, and stakeholder relations.
