The Douglas Daly project analyses the local factors driving sustainable agricultural development in one of the NT’s most promising agricultural regions. This project was fully conceived and funded by RDA NT. To deliver the project RDA NT has partnered with a consortium of consultants, the NT Department of Primary Industry, Douglas Daly producers, and NT Farmers to explore more viable production options for broad acre crops. The consultants produced a comprehensive cost analysis of potential cropping cycles, as well as detailed regional capacity mapping. These findings will now inform investment by producers as well as investment in the next round of project activity.
